Off Topic: The Law is a Nutty Business

While doing a little bit of legal research today, I came across the case Tex-Goober Company v. Los Angeles Nut House, Inc.

Now that’s a case title that grabs my attention! Here’s the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals’ introduction to the case:

This is an appeal by a nut house in a lawsuit over peanuts. The dispute boils down to whether Spanish No. 1 peanuts should have been substituted for Spanish Jumbo peanuts. Because the trial judge failed to submit an interrogatory to the jury on the custom for substitution in this nutty business, we remand the case for additional findings of fact.

Adding famed plaintiff’s attorney Harold Nix in the mix I’m sure made this nutty case even nuttier.
